    Reference by Pointer Occurance


    I have encountered the reference by pointer error on my computer. The strange thing is that it only occurs when connected to the internet. Is there a specific reason why? I updated from Windows 10 to Windows 11 to see if that may fix the problem, but it didn't.

    The "pointer" is software code that tells the CPU which instruction to execute next. When you encounter 'reference by pointer' errors they usually mean that you are using a driver or application that is older and not supported by Windows 10. This is likely to be the case if you get 'reference by pointer' errors regularly. If it happens only once in a while, not to worry. Stuff happens.

    If it happens regularly:

    1- Do you notice it happening when you run a particular program?

    2- Do you have older hardware or software that may not be supported on Windows 10?

    Reference by pointer BSOD

    I had a multiple Reference by pointer BSODs. Today, it happened to me for more than 5 times, The Error usually occurs after 20-40 minutes. And here are the things I did to try to fix the problem > DISM Command, Chkdsk, Sfc /Scannow, Updating outdated drivers, restarting, Updating windows, but the error still occurs. Is there any way to fix this? Any help would be appreciated

    I have just had a Bluescreen of shutdown with stop code Reference By Pointer. and this hasn't happened for the first time. How can I fix it? Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.
