Windows 10: Référence d'objet non définie lors de l'installation d'un ClickOnce Online

Hello,I have customers who have installed one of our applications via ClickOnce offline on their computer. We recently published a new version of that ClickOnce but this time online, taking care to change its name in order to avoid possible conflicts during installation. However, we have a problem that only occurs when ClickOnce is first installed. This problem occurs at the very end of the installation, just after the "Preparing the application" message. In the logs, we unfortunately do not have enough information to determine the source of the problem cf the end of this description : "The o

DIVX player D/L fails

When I run the Windows update troubleshooter it says I have a missing or corrupt service registration and that I should reset it but it didn't tell me how! I know nothing about PC's (obviously) so I don't know how to reset it or why I should have to.

I am using Win 10. I had Win 7 and accepted the free download from MSN when it became available. It's not a bootleg copy and everything else so far has worked and D/L'ed fine.

The DIVX installer D/L's fine but when I try to run it (as adm.) I get a pop-up that says
"an error has occurred. Please check your internet settings and try again."


Windows also suggested I modify the register to solve the problem. (with my very limited PC skills I wouldn't do that on a dare!) Sounds dangerous!

As I stated before, this DIVX D/L is the only problem I have had with any D/L's.

I haven't made any changes to my PC. I did uninstall the old DIVX player when the new player DL failed per a suggestion from another tech site but that didn't help.

D drive

Hi,

Based on the details you have provided us, it appears that there might be some corrupted contents on the said partition. We can also consider that this is caused by a virus.

• Type Command prompt in the search bar.
• Type-in the following command:
  
  attrib -h -r -s /s /d D:\*.*
• Press Enter to execute the command.

If you think that there is nothing important stored in it, then we suggest that you reformat your D drive so that you can use the free space for important files.

You can follow the steps below to start with the process:

• Click on the File Explorer.
• Select This PC.
• Right-click on your D drive, then click on Format.
• Follow the on-screen process to finish formatting the partition.

Different D/L speeds

I've got two PC's connected to the same router with both connected via Ethernet cable. D/L speeds between the two are wide apart. I'd like to know what factors could influence this difference.

PC#1

i7-9700K 3.6 ghz base
32GB DDR4 2666 RAM
802.11 Network card
D/L speed between 50-60 MBps

PC#2

AMD 1660 2.4 ghz
4GB RAM (unknown speed)
802.11 Network Card
D/L speed between 10-12 MBps

Would a faster processor influence DL speeds?
