Windows 10: Reformat your external storage

I have had Sea of Thieves for around 3 years. A few months ago i got an extension hard drive and moved other games onto it but i kept Sea of Thieves on the C drive. Last night i tried to update Sea of Thieves, but after it completed i could not open the game, and got a message that said "there has been an error. I then pressed reinstall without realising that it would be reinstalling the entire game, onto my Extension hard drive. I left my computer on all night and all day today and it has finally finished, but i now have the same message saying "There has been an error." When i press the "see

File History does not recognize external hard drive since reformat

File History stopped backing up at some point (was a single file name too long for it?). I reformatted my external hard disk, a WD My Book. Now File History will not back up to it, despite it showing up in a list of possible external drives to back up to. I've tried using a free trial version of Backblaze too but it simply isn't backing up. Any suggestions?

 

Recover or Reformat?

The reformat won't budge?

I did what you said and then was told to remove the CD from the CD-Rom Drive, put in the recovery CD and then press the 'OK' button to continue

So I changed to the next disk but the OK doesn't appear to be being 'pressed'. Yes I have pushed enter on the keyboard which is what I have been using to get me through the other steps..

Any suggestions?

Note:

For a more secured handling of files and data, we encourage you to back them all up in a more secured storage like external hard drives before you format any of your drives.
