Windows 10: Reformatted drive and re-installing Windows 10Pro

My sons each had to rebuild their computer. They reformatted the hard drive. They then reinstalled Windows 10 which had previously been an upgrade from Windows 7 Pro. I no longer have the Windows 7 information and their newly reinstalled 10 is asking for them to reactivate. The youngest has been running that way for a month the oldest just did it last night. I'm not sure what to do at this point.

Reformat and Install

It means filling the drive with millions of zeros, so that every sector or whatever has been written over so none of your old deleted data can ever be retrieved. That's unnecessary for a self-reformat though.

You'll need to put in your OS disc, boot to it, go to the advanced install options and format the drive from there. Then you'll select that newly formatted drive to install Windows on.

 

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
