  1. Refreshing an windows 10 version on new hardware

Hi, I recently bricked my motherboard while trying to flash the bios machine just shut off 51% of the way thru , so I have a new msi MPG Z490 Gaming edge motherboard, new intel core i7 10700K 3.8 GHz processor, 32 gigs or corsair vengeance ram, the new build refused to see any of my hd's the primary drive is a 1 tb samsung SSD, I have 3 SSD drives total. after contacting msi they reccomended I make a bootable windows 10 usb drive which I did & installed windows on one of my secondary drives, my question is my original boot drive has lots of things I don't want to lose, I just freshened it up less than a week ago, msi tells me because my original boot drive has a version of windows on it that was upgraded from win 8 I still have the disk & reg. # my new hardware doesn't see an operating system on it, is there any way I can force an update on that drive while it isn't the bootable drive? Any help appreciated

    :)
