Windows 10: Refunding or moving a purchase to another account

    Refunding or moving a purchase to another account


    I recently purchased the Sea of Thieves Plunder Pass on the wrong account. Is there a way I can refund it and rebuy it on the correct account OR transfer it to the new account?This should be easy, but it's stupidly hard and I've already spent two hours trying to figure this out online.

    Thank you for the information. We suggest that you log in to your Microsoft account, and check if the charge was applied. Follow the steps below to check it:

    • Go to account.microsoft.com.
    • Log in using your username and password.
    • Click the Payment & billing tab.
    • Select Order History.


    If the charge shows on your Order History, please contact Microsoft Store Support. Refer to this
    link.

    If the charge is not showing, you may need to contact the developer of the game to process the refund.

    Refund for accidental purchase

    Hi Shelly,

    If your app/game was purchased within the last couple weeks, you should be able to request a refund.

    Sign into your MS account - account.microsoft.com - Payment and Billing - Order History - Find the app you want a refund for and there should be a “request a refund” option.
