Windows 10: Regarding accidental shutdown during "Reset this pc".

Hi. While I was resetting my pc. The power to my house went down, In turn, the pc's battery drained while resetting resulting in it shutting down during the reset process.When I put it on. It gave me a blue screen with 5 options under CHOOSE AN OPTION.Continue exit and continue to windows recovery environmentUse a deviceUse another operating systemTroubleshoot reset and advanced optionsTurn off your pcI've tried them all of the options besides option 2, and none of them work. They all bring me back to the CHOOSE AN OPTION page. Does this mean that I have to manually re-install windows? A

To help you resolve your concern, we suggest that you follow the instructions below:

Power cycle your device. Here are the steps:

• Force shutdown your computer by pressing and holding the power button down for 5 to 10 seconds.
• Remove all the attached cables for 2 minutes then put them back on.

If the same thing happens, we suggest that you perform the reset again.

My pc takes for ever to shut down when i restart

Suggest cleaning up your startup list .There may be many services / Apps you can remove on startup which is not needed on boot or during shutdown.
Before you shutdown the Pc check what is running in Task Manager as a program or service in not killing the process on shutdown

Would suggest cleaning up running apps and services -Autoruns, StartupMonitor,HighjackThis,
Malware Scan - Malwarebytes,ADWcleaner, Combofix

 

Unable to reset PC

Hi guys,

I'm unable to reset PC and I accidentally lost backup drive. i'm a windows 10 home user and I got this when I brought the laptop.can anyone suggest how to reset pc .

whenever i''m trying to reset pc it is displaying an error as cant reset no changes are made
