Windows 10: Regarding the connection of my mic and pc

So i recently bought a new mic and am unable to use it. It doesn't show up on control panel, device manager or anything alike. It stops my speakers from working whenever it is connect to the pc and is driving me quite crazy cuz I paid a lot of this.Is it occurring cuz there is no audio jack but rather headphone jack in Vostro 15 3000 or is it an issue with my driver

The next step is what I suggested originally. Try it in a friend's PC or take it to Best Buy and ask them to try it one of their PC's. Have to confirm the mic is working OK.
