  1. RegEdit closes automatically when Exporting - Possible Solution

I was having the same issue as other people here, who are not able to export Registry entries, where it would flash the Export dialog for a micro second and then the Registry Editor would crash. During one of the Export dialog flashes, I noticed that the location in the Save In drop down was populated with the location of my last save from some time back.So what worked to get things fixed again for me was right as the Export dialog box popped up on the screen I just quickly typed a couple random letters on the keyboard and hit ENTER on the keyboard and sure enough, it was fast enough to export

    :)

    Regedit freezes on export

In Windows 10 regedit freezes when trying to export a registry key. To fix this, open the print dialog (ctrl+p) first, then close it and you can export registry keys. No idea why this is the case but it works.

Whenever I try to export a registry key from regedit, when I click file->export it freezes. This only occurs in Windows 10, did Microsoft accidentally break regedit or something?

Export with Regedit - Fails for hkey_local_machine

Mine does the same thing with "save as hive". Personally I don't see the reason to "save as hive". Just save as reg and name the save properly, like HKLM or something.
