    Regedit DWORD Name: da56a5e4-287c-4a5b-86da-140a12d814cd


    This is a Dword value name (da56a5e4-287c-4a5b-86da-140a12d814cd) in Regedit for Session Manager/Memory management. The data value is set at 1. My main concern is that all of the other Dwords have names that are actual letters/words, not numbers as is this one. Is it safe for me to delete it.

    Install Service by Regedit

    I created a .reg to install a service in the path:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Services, the installation was done normally, but when I go to services.msc the service is not listed, only shows when I restart the server, how to list the services installed by regedit without

    Windows 10 Search box

    Which instructions are you suggesting I missed? There is no search icon. Right clicking the taskbar shows no search option. The "small characters" or icons trick did nothing. The regedit thing:
    Follow these steps to turn on the hidden search box:

    • Open regedit
    • Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Search
    • Inside the search key, create the new DWORD value named EnableSearchBox and set it to 1
    • Restart your computer or simply Explorer Shell
    Did not give me a search option that I can find.

    So in at least MY version of windows 10 there is no search box I can find that will allow me to search my own computer to find possible misplaced files.

    So what are the instructions?
