Respect. I'm trying to delete or change the type of built in account that I don't use, because I have two accounts with administrator privileges. The account I use is admin privileges, but still whatever I do I have to "Run as administrator", I can't manage the desktop and in the "right click" at desktop only have a sub menu with "new folder". In the "control panel" or Setings> Account, with the current and active account which is Admin Local useser, I can manage it, but another account probably made during installation there no no settings. In "Regedit"> SAM> sam .. at the right wi

    :)

  2. jimbobs Win User

    Administrator level User

    Progress .... thanks to you!

Booted from Recovery Drive, opened Terminal and followed Option 5 steps until Step 8 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\REM_SAM\SAM\Domains\Account\Users\000001F4

There are no other folders in REM_SAM There are all there in SAM but nothing in REM_SAM

    - - - Updated - - -

Followed Option 5 steps, making sure to go to correct windows installation, selected the SAM file, and, in the Load Hive dialog, type REM_SAM, and click/tap on OK.
    So far, so good.
However, when I try to navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\REM_SAM\SAM\Domains\Account\Users\000001F4, there is nothing there.
In fact, there is nothing under REM_SAM.
    Any suggestions?

Microsoft Software Asset Management (SAM) states:

You can confirm the legitimacy of Microsoft SAM by asked the SAM rep to provide a snapshot of your Volume License purchase history. The SAM rep should be able to provide you with a sample that includes the details of at least one of your Volume License
agreements. Only Microsoft would have this detail and it makes it easy to match and confirm against your own records.
