Windows 10: regedit set duration of slideshow

Discus and support regedit set duration of slideshow in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; I know how to set the duration of a slideshow in windows 10/11, but it is not working.     regedit set duration of slideshow


    I know how to set the duration of a slideshow in windows 10/11, but it is not working. I have set the default value to 10000 so the slide should change every 10 seconds. But it doesn't, takes perhaps a minute or more or even is in a standstill. What is wrong?

    How do I change the duration of the slideshow in photo app in windows 10? I know how to view my photos in slideshow, but need to adjust the duration of the slides to longer than 3 seconds. Thank you for any help!

    Set background slideshow

    Hi,

    I suggest you to follow the steps provided below to set slide desktop.

    • Press Windows logo key + I key.
    • Click on Personalization.
    • Under Background dropdown menu, select slideshow.
    • Click on Browse button and then select the folder from which the desktop slide’s to be applied.

    Slideshow settings in Photo app on window 10 adjusting duration

    Half way into 2017 and still no progress with this basic feature missing.

    Some control of how the images are displayed would also be expected, e.g. Ken Burns effect.

    One thing Windows 10 has managed (several years after everyone else program), is to read photo EXIF information to display images with the correct orientation.
