Windows 10: regid.1991-06.com.microsoft folder

today I noticed this file appear randomlyor at least I think because that I can remember, I've never seen this folder before and its the regid.1991-06.com.microsoft, so I'm here to ask the simple question of, what is this folder and where did it come from. thanks for any help

Is it safe to delete the empty folder <C:\ProgramData\regid.1991-06.com.microsoft>?

I just installed win 10 pro and i see this folder in my programData folder. It is empty. I understand it has to do with Windows updates from previous windows versions? Since I used a fresh install, the folder is empty and I would like to delete it. I am
just not sure if it would cause harm if I did delete it.

 

I deleted regid.1991-06.com.microsoft on my other PC, and it boots up to a black screen now. How do I fix this?

Deleted the entire folder, swidtag and all. Like a ****. I have another laptop with this file on it, and I moved it to a USB key so I could replace it on this other PC. But like I said- it boots to a black screen and I can't see anything or do anything.
I have an MSI motherboard, I'm not sure how to boot into safemode with a pureblack screen. I can't change to another user because I don't have one. Just this single profile, with the folder deleted. Help!

I have Windows 10 Home. I have the folder C:\ProgramData\regid.1991-06.com.microsoft and it contains
regid.1991-06.com.microsoft_Windows-10-Home.swidtag

I think this is the most reliable method given that people are known to manually add C:\Windows\System32\gpedit.msc to the Home Edition.
Of course, somebody could also add/substitute the file
regid.1991-06.com.microsoft_Windows-10-Home.swidtag
or
regid.1991-06.com.microsoft_Windows-10-Pro.swidtag
but only if they were trying to kid themselves for no logical reason.
