Windows 10: registry key remapping doesn't work in all apps anymore

For years, I've used registry key remapping via SharpKeys to remap caps-lock to control.


However, for some reason this no longer works properly in all applications. In particular league-of-legends.


1 I remap caps-lock to control with sharp keys

2 I verify caps-lock is sending control in most windows apps e.g. control-T makes a new browser tab in chrome

3 I launch league of legends... in hotkey settings I can press "caps-lock + key" and it's intereted as "ctrl + key"

4 HOWEVER, when playing the actual game, I press "caps-lock + key" and it's ignored... like control isn't being sent


I don't understand what league could be doing to interpret keys in such a way that it ignores rebindings, but it's very very annoying.


When I rebind a key in windows, it should be rebound for everything, always.

Remapping key FROM REGISTRY

My 'delete' key doesn't work anymore. I'd like to remap it to the 'insert' key. I've tried EVERY. SINGLE. Third party program. I've tried Microsoft's program for remapping. None have worked.

I want to go straight through the registry so I can do ctrl-alt-del. I haven't found a single post detailing how to do so. If someone could direct me to such instructions or give them to me here I'd be forever grateful.

 

Scanner doesn´t work anymore after last Windows 10 update

As many people on the internet already are discussing, their scanner doesn´t work anymore after the last Windows update. But there seem to be no solution.

My Scanner starts making noises, as usual, and then i get error messages: "Communication with the scanner is not possible"

Is there a workaround for that?

Re-install the TWAIN drivers? (They are not included in Windows.)

You might get a better answer if you gave the make and model of the scanner.
