Windows 10: Registry

Hey, I installed Steam software but due to some problems it could not install correctly. So, I uninstalled it, but its info is stored in registry. So, if I install Steam again will it overwrite the previous registries or create a new different space coz i m wondering if the previous registries will corrupt a new installation again.
