Windows 10: Regular command prompt on Advanced startup

Discus and support Regular command prompt on Advanced startup in Windows 10 Network and Sharing to solve the problem; Is it possible to access regular Command Prompt (non-administrator command prompt), through advanced startup?     Is it possible to access regular Command Prompt (non-administrator command prompt), through advanced startup? If so, how do i get to it?

    No Command Prompt in Advanced Startup

    I'm trying to use MBR2GPT in Windows 10 for my system disk so I can use UEFI, and I suppose I need to use command prompt in Advanced Startup.

    But when I do Advanced Startup and go into Troubleshoot, the only option I can see is Startup Settings.

    No Command Prompt, no System Restore, nothing, just Startup Settings.

    So how can I get access to command prompt? Or can I just use MBR2GPT in cmd while running Windows 10?

    command prompt will not open in safe mode with command prompt

    Would I just follow the same steps within safe mode after hooking up to the other system?

    Command Prompt didn't recognize one of the commands


    It does sound like you should do it in case it gets worse and you can't boot..

    If you follow this tutorial to easily get to a command prompt at boot time Advanced Startup Options - Boot to in Windows 10 - Windows 10 Forums (option 1 looks the easiest).

    You then click on the "Troubleshoot" then "Advanced Options" buttons to get to the "Command Prompt" button.

    When you get the command prompt enter the following (may as well do them all):

    • bootrec /FixMbr
      [*]bootrec /FixBoot
      [*]bootrec /RebuildBcd
