Windows 10: Regular FPS drops when playing War Thunder

Discus and support Regular FPS drops when playing War Thunder in Windows 10 Ask Insider to solve the problem; So as the title says I have an issue when playing War Thunder, and to a certain extent CSGO, that is every few seconds I get a frame drop from around...     Regular FPS drops when playing War Thunder


    So as the title says I have an issue when playing War Thunder, and to a certain extent CSGO, that is every few seconds I get a frame drop from around 40 on War Thunder to 3 or 4. I have tried going into the Registry Editor and changing a few things per a tutorial I found online but it still keeps happening.

    Any advice?

    • Were there any changes made on the computer prior to this issue?


    If you have the hardware that supports the game, you can fine-tune your experience to get the very best out of the game. You may want to follow the tips and tricks mentioned in

    BSOD while playing War Thunder

    Update

    This issue is still not resolved and War Thunder still crashes from time to time after the clean install, however the crashes are rarer than previously. I think the issue might be with the game itself, I've read a number of threads about War Thunder having
    issues with Ryzen CPUs. It could also be that my RAM or drives are at fault. I'll open up the laptop to check later today or tomorrow.

    Even though I've tested the RAM and memtest says its fine.
