Windows 10: Regularly seeing BSoD, NMI HARDWARE FAILURE

Hi,

I've been having regular trouble with receiving a BSoD saying NMI HARDWARE FAILURE.


Looking through the event viewer I see errors such as:


The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x00000080 (0x00000000004f4454, 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000).

NMI Hardware Failure

Whenever I boot my Laptop (HP Notebook 15 AY020-TU) , and within the first 10 seconds of initial boot (when full desktop loads) if I press windows key, it displays the blue screen error indicating NMI Hardware Failure. No further info.

This happens every time , I tried uninstalling Windows updates, malware scan, anti-virus scan, device driver updates, etc.

But the problem still persists. Can anyone help me out?

Edit: If I try using the start menu by mouse click, it works just fine, but using the windows key for the same purpose ends up in a BSOD.

 

BSOD NMI hardware failure


Hello all,
I am a newbie and have been struggling with this BSOD NMI Hardware Failure problem for a few months.

I run a HP Workstation on Windows 10 Pro for a couple of years with no problems. Have not added new software or hardware (that I can remembered) and then I get this BSOD when booting the pc. It happens only when I am turning on the pc- it will freeze and I will have to turn off/on many times to overcome the problem. This is despite the automatic diagnosis and repair. I have troubletshoot and believed that it may be the hdd. So I ran HD-Tune deep scan on (all 3) hard siks; result is fine with no damaged sectors. In the end, I decided to clean reinstall Win 10 Pro in the hope that the problem lies (somehow) with the OS.
Alas, no luck- I am still getting the same BSOD.

Any help that can resolve this problem will be greatly appreciated.

Windows 10 NMI hardware failure when installing video card driver

I have tried to update from windows 7 to windows 10 and seems where ok until driver installation part in which I'm getting nmi hardware failure (or nmi hardware malfunction). With some research I figure out that it was caused by video card I pulled it
out and successfully installed it on integrated video card ( which is sis 900). Thing is that currently my pc will only work properly if you wont install video driver, because after windows 10 was deployed I have installed back video card (ati 2400hd) and
it worked fine on windows basic video adapter but when I tried to install driver from ati site or via drive update in device manger it get's nmi hardware fail bsod. I've tried 3 different video cards ( ati 2400, 7770 and r7 250) and all 3 have same issue when
it comes to driver installation, thou all 3 video card works fine on other pcs. Bios update and fail safe didn't help either. Also windows 10 upgrade advisor didn't detect any
compatibility issue with updating to win10 on this pc.
