Windows 10: Reinstall Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable failed with latest version

Setup: Windows 11 was upgraded from a Windows 10I am trying to update/ install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022 Redistributable x64 - 14.40.33810I get the message when installing the latest Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022 Redistributable x64 : The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. Click OK to try again or enter an alternative path to a folder containing the installation package'vc_runtimeMinimum_x64.msi' inthe box below. However it wants the file "vc_runtimeMinimum_x64.msi" of version 14.32.31326 what i understand from the log file.That is n

Error 0x80070641 - I can't install newer versions of Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables

Please uninstall Microsoft Visual C++ completely from the computer and then install the newer versions.

# Step 1: Uninstall Microsoft Visual C++

a. Type control panel in start menu > Programs > Programs and Features > uninstall a program

b. Locate all ( Microsoft Visual C++ ) from the list of installed programs.

c. Click on it and then select “Uninstall”.

d. Follow the on-screen instructions and restart the computer if prompted.

# Note: If you cannot find Microsoft Visual C++ in the installed programs list, go to step

2 to install the latest version.

# Step 2: Install the latest version of Microsoft Visual C++

to download and install the latest version of Microsoft Visual C++ components on the computer.

a. Click on this link to download the latest version of Visual C++ Redistributable Package.

b. After the download, run the setup file and follow the on-screen instructions to install the package.

c. Restart the computer, if prompted.

Note> Make sure that your operating system is with the latest updated

 

Visual C++ Redistributable won't install?

This issue might if the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package is not installed properly.

I suggest you to uninstall any existing Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package and install the latest Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package to check if it helps.

Follow the below steps:

Step 1: Uninstall the exiting Microsoft Visual C++.

a) Press Windows key + x key and select
Programs and Features.

b) Right click on the Microsoft Visual C++ and uninstall it.

Step 2: Download the latest Microsoft Visual C++ and install it.

Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable Package (x86) install fails

The software is buggy. If later versions of MS Visual C++ runtimes are installed it fails to detect them and tries to install earlier versions which breaks those MS Visual C++ runtime installations.








Allowing the install to continue doesn't allow those runtimes to install (because you can't install an earlier version over a later version) and it breaks the already installed versions. (They now show as 0 bytes)

I cannot test to see if the program will run (I suspect that it won't work anyway) as I don't have MS Office.

Suggest:

Remove those two VC++ Runtime versions if they already exist and reboot. Then try running the Dymo installer and see if it will install the earlier versions of VC++
