Windows 10: Reinstall Qt on this Windows10 pc

It should restore, although its not too difficult to reinstall wellness diary from ovi store, if it comes to it. Also, I would suggest that this be the way you get the proper Qt version. Some people are having problems with separately aquired Qt installers.

 

QT for N8 - what is it, and why is it needed?

You'll find the file you were asking about, qtwebkit.sys is listed here, along with the other two files and a complete and detailed set of instructions on how to install everything.



(I'm wondering why step #1 is necessary - if someone were to do this without having done the soft reset, wouldn't everything else work as intended?)

Summary

Here's a run down of the steps I went through to get my C7 in working order again:

• Soft reset, dial *#7370#.
• Install the Ovi Suite and Qt SDK 1.1 to a Windows PC.
• Connect your device to the PC in 'PC Suite' mode.
• Run the following actions from the SDK start menu folder:
  • Install Qt 4.7.3 for Symbian^3 on device
  • Install QtMobility 1.1.3 for Symbian^3 on device
  • Install QtWebKit for Qt 4.7.3 for Symbian^3 on device
• Restart the phone
• Tap on the Ovi Store icon, and follow the download link.

Since performing this procedure I have been able to add and remove apps from the C7 without a hitch.

Please let us know in the comments if this method works for you, or if you've found other fixes for corrupted Qt libraries.

Could not find or load the Qt platform plugin "windows"

Windows 10 Pro

I recently installed trial version of Corel's Video Studio and decided I liked it, so I made the purchase. Now, I'm getting this error message whenever I start it:

This application failed to start because it could not find or load the Qt platform plugin "windows" in "".

Available platform plugins are: windows
Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.





I tried reinstalling the product, but that didn't help.

Searching the internet I found several posts were people using Qt indicated that they fixed this problem by replacing missing DLLs (specifically libEGL.dll, libEGLd.dll and qwindows.dll). Are these Windows DLLs or Qt DLLs? Unless Video Studio installed Qt on my system, I have no idea why Qt would be on my system, and I'm reluctant to pull DLLs off the internet for fear of viruses.

Anyone have a suggestion about how to tackle this problem?
