Windows 10: Reinstall Windows 10 on a new ssd

Hi, I have a laptop and an old ssd with windows 10 installed, and i would like to switch to a new ssd. Can i just manually remove the old ssd and replace the new ssd and install windows 10 in it without removing windows 10 from the old ssd?


This is my 1st time doing this and i hope to get some advice. Thank you in advance~


NOTE: I have an OEM license and the activation status is "Digital License linked to Microsoft Account"

Step 1: create a recovery drive:

Step 2: shutdown the computer then install the new SSD.

Step 3: Boot from the recovery drive and follow the instructions to reinstall Windows 10.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Step 2: create a new bootable copy of Windows 10. The Windows 10 USB you have is the original version of Windows 10 which quite outdated.

Step 3: Shutdown the computer, remove the HDD then install the SSD
