Windows 10: Reinstall Windows

I received a laptop for my B-day in June. He purchased the little Microsoft card that allowed me to install Word, PowerPoint, Excel. etc. Well, last month I was logging on to my son's school site and siren went off on my computer and then I got an alert stating Microsoft detected a bad sight and stated I needed to call 888-378-8304. Well the this ended up being a scam. I realized this after the tech got upset that I would not log in to my bank account and stated that if I go to a store they would charge me and she hung up the phone. To protect myself, I did a full factory reset on my computer and added extra hack protection. When I did this I did not realize that it would wipe out Microsoft. I need to know how to reinstall my Microsoft apps if I no longer have the little card and pass code. Please help me, I only have access to Outlook, but no longer have PowerPoint, Word, Excel & Publisher.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

Reinstall Windows?

You don't need to reinstall windows. Go to the device manager and remove uninstall the processor and motherboard drivers listed. When you start the system back up you should be able to re-install the new ones. I just changed my mobo/processor Friday, everything is fine.

BTW I have seen some reviews that state practically no difference in using more than 2gb of ram.
