Windows 10: Reinstalled W10,64. Printer is no longer discoverable.

Recently reinstalled W10, 64. System no longer discovers my Brother Fax4100e printer. Downloaded DPinstall.exe but it won't run. I get to the permission prompt, click yes and it stops. Eliminated firewalls and put the exe program in my white list. Manually put the driver in driver store. Swapped out USBs. Tried other computers also running W10, 64 and they couldn't discover the printer either. Love this workhorse printer and want to keep it. Brother was generous with its CR time but was unable to help. Any help appreciated.

I have an HP printer scanner, which worked fine until I upgraded to W10. Now the scanner works, and send to the computer, but the printer will not. It is still listed in settings under printers available, but does not appear as an option in any printer
menu in acrobat, word, escel. The old solution (right click; install as administrator) is no longer available. when you try and install new printer you get system domain services not available. Any ideas?

• What is the model of printer?
• Is your computer connected to a domain network?

Uninstall the current printer drivers, download and install the latest printer drivers from HP website.

Place the computer in clean boot mode and install the driver.

Note: After checking the functionality in clean boot, follow the suggestions under “How to reset the computer to start normally after clean boot troubleshooting”.

  Have you installed any third party software in compute?
  

I suggest you to make printer as a default printer you can follow the below steps:

• 
  Press Windows key+ X and select
  device manager.
  
• 
  Select devices and printers
  
• 
  Right click on the printer you want to use, and then click
  set as default printer (You'll see a check mark on the printer's icon signifying that it's now your default printer).
  

I also recommend you to run the print troubleshooter to check the issue.

• 
  Type troubleshooter in the search box and then press enter.
  
• 
  In the left pane click on View all.
  
• 
  Select the printer option and
  follow the on screen instructions.
  

If the issue persists, I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the printer drivers and check if it helps

• Press Windows key+ X and select device manager.
• 
  Select devices and printers.
  
• 
  Right click on printer driver and select uninstall.
  
• 
  Now try to install the printer drivers from manufacturing website.
