Reinstalled Windows 10 on new SSD. when trying to add the old SSD Errorr: D:\ not...

I have reinstalled Windows 10 on a new 2TB SSD. When I now try to add my old 2TB SSD in order to transfer files over to the newly installed drive I get the following error messageD:\ is not accessible. Insufficient System ressourcesWhen I reboot into BIOS both SSD are visible and are recognised in Boot menu- Boot Manager- Samsung 2TB SSD- Crucial 2TB SSDAlso to say that before new install 1.7 TB of 2TB on the old SSD were full of Data Is the problem that my old SSD, now D:\ , has too many files on it so that the SSD content and file structure cannot be displayed or is there anot

  2. New windows 10 installtion on New SSD - wont boot unless old SSD present

It seems you installed Windows while the both SSDs were connected. This would have caused your current problem. Maybe it is sufficient to do this:

    1. Launch the Disk Manager.
    2. Right-click drive C:, then mark it as "active".
    3. Shut down Windows
    4. Open the BIOS and tell it that the new SSD is the primary boot device.
    5. Disconnect the old SSD.
    6. Boot up normally.

If this does not work then you might have to do this:

    1. Disconnect the old SSD.
    2. Re-install Windows on the new SSD, using the Media Creation Tool.

  3. Reinstallation of Windows 10 on new SSD

I’ve purchased a new SSD and want to move the OS to the SSD. I also want to use my old TB hard
drive as the backup. I wonder if I can get the upgrade to Windows 10 from Window 7 because I previously kept OS on my old TB drive.
Is it possible not to reinstall the OS back onto the hard drive and then make a boot flash drive to reinstall the
    OS onto the SSD?
