    Reinstalling W10 after 29th of July


    Hello,

    I have a question : after the free upgrade period expires, how do I reinstall Windows 10 if I have it installed now?

    For instance, I want to reinstall it to do a Clean Up of my computer, or I am upgrading/migrating to another system (hardware) etc.

    WINDOWS 10 UPGRADE

    If you reserved W10 update it will download automatically on/after 29th July. You do not have to get a confirmation, it will just download and you install at your convenience

    i am not getting notification to reserve my windows 10

    If you have reserved W10, the Windows 10 RTM is officially released on
    29th July 2015, on or after that date you will be advised that it is ready for installation.

    Hard disk should be fine, I'd imagine you will run into problems if the motherboard is changed though, just like you would with a Windows 7/8 OEM licence.

    Yes, but each PC will need to be activated by a different license to be able to link them to your MSA (Microsoft account).

    Thanks for the quick reply, but I am a little confused. If you have several Win 10 computers, don't each of them have to be activated by separate licenses? I think I am not understanding something.

    You would miss out on the free upgrade to Windows 10 if not upgrade to W10 by the end of tomorrow July 29th.

    After this date, you will have to purchase Windows 10 to get a retail product key to activate with.
