Windows 10: Reinstalling Win 11 on a laptop with new SSD and a replaced motherboard!

Hi, I have Dell XPS 9570purchased in 2018. I am upgrading the SSD to 1TB from 500GB. My question, on my new SSD while I install the OS how does Windows detects or where will it get the Win license key from? This laptop came with Win and Office+Outlook pre-installed. I am told that these laptops which came with pre-installed OS has license key stored in the motherboard, but I had motherboard on this laptop replaced few months back from Dell as old one had gone kaput. Apreciate the quick response.

Install Win 11 to external M.2 SSD via laptop

Hello everyone, I purchased a new NVMe M.2 1TB SSD and my old 512gb SSD is in the laptop. I have a SSD reader by which I can connect the new SSD externally to the laptop. The new SSD is clean and I need to install Win 11 on that so that I can replace my laptop SSD with the new one. Can someone guide me through the steps for the same?

I have 2 SSDs, one in the laptop and one connected externally via the reader. Can it be done with these two options or do we need an additional device for the installation.

 

New motherboard, CPU SSD drives and fresh Win 10 Home install.

My old motherboard with Win 10 Pro (upgraded from 7) died and I just replaced it with a new motherboard, processor (AMD), new M12 SSD, new SATA SSD and fresh install of new Win 10 Home on the M12 SSD. I also have two SATA HDD drives installed from the
original configuration with all of my original installed programs. Will I have to reinstall all of the original programs or can I edit the registry to point to the HDD location and run the original programs?

 

How do Install Windows 11 on a replacement SSD for my PC

I have a GEEKOM miniair 11 with a 256 MB ssd drive. I want to upgrade to a 1 TB SSD drive.

The 1 TB SSD has no OS. How do I get Windows 11 for my replacement drive? I only have one slot for the SSD. I read I cannot use an external USB connected hard drive cannot be used as a boot drive to reinstall Windows 11 on the new SSD. Any suggestions?
