Windows 10: Reinstalling Win10 without a disk Questions. TY<3

So I think my OS Hard drive is failing on me. Getting a lot of hard freezes, all drivers are up to date.


Really don't want to take any chances I'm think I'll pick up a new hard drive tomorrow with the hopes of reinstalling win10 onto it.


I've recently upgraded to win 10 from 7 did it online and so I have no disc. From what I've seen I can download a win10 ISO but I am unfamiliar with the process and could use a little advice.


I just watched a video that gave the following steps and I just wanted to ask if this was the best way to do this.


1. Download win10 ISO and place it in a new partition

2. Use 3rd party program called EasyBCD to create add a new Boot Menu Entry for that partition.

3. Restart and boot from ISO partition and run install

4. (?)Then I can tell it to install win10 to the new HD and do the usual setup from there?


Questions Im wondering about..


Do I have to make a partitian to install to a new drive?

Is there no way to just tell windows to reinstall on new drive?

Just need the steps to reinstall Win10 on replacement hard disk. Previous install was online during upgrade from Win 8.
