    Reinstalling Windows 11 to remove virus / Malware.


    I recently inserted an unknown USB into my PC. Now I think that my PC is infected.So I want to reinstall windows.Should I just go to the settings and click on "Reset PC". Will that suffice?Or should I download windows iso from web and reinstall manually?What do you recommend?

    You have so many more steps than my virus removal. Step one reinstall OS, step two don't get another virus.

    ernel32.dll Virus Removal

    I've googled this and followed the steps I found to remove it and it still comes back. I can't surf the net because of this Trojan.
    I've ran malware bytes and it too can't remove it. I've tried Safe Mode manually deleting it and it still comes back. Right now I'm running super spyware removal to see if it can remove it.

    Anyone ever had this or know how to get rid of it?

    The virus is on a Laptop running windows xp.

    For sure, I will actually cover that as well for people. Mitigation and backups. I do understand clients that cant OSR (Operating System Reinstall) because of special software, (CnC machines, custom software for payment gateways etc) in which case its worth the time for a proper disinfect.
