  1. Reinstalling Windows onto a new motherboard with an ssd that has windows on it already

I had windows installed on an ssd and i exchanged the motherboard for another one. i rebuilt my pc with the new mobo and it wouldn’t load past bios despite not wiping my ssd.

i put my usb key with windows on it to reinstall it and it asked me which partition to install it to??

i never partitioned my ssd and all 4 (eg. drive 0 partition 1) partitions say “windows cant be installed on drive 1 partition 3”

i have the option to delete or format them but it gives me a warning about how i might delete manufacturer info.

what should i do to turn on my pc?

    Reinstall Windows?

You don't need to reinstall windows. Go to the device manager and remove uninstall the processor and motherboard drivers listed. When you start the system back up you should be able to re-install the new ones. I just changed my mobo/processor Friday, everything is fine.

BTW I have seen some reviews that state practically no difference in using more than 2gb of ram.

    Should i reinstall Windows?

    Hi Lads.

A few weeks ago i built a new Machine which was giving me a few headaches due some Motherboard issues, btw i sent the Board back and got it replaced with a new one, after i got the new Board i installed CPU, Ram, Graphic Card and the SSD, turned on the Machine went into Bios settings updated the Bios restarted the Machine and went into Bios settings once again and Re-overclocked the CPU, restarted the Machine and everything worked fine, went into Windows and ran a few tests with OCCT and not issues at all.

Now my question about if i should reinstall Windows is because when i switched Motherboard i didn't do a Windows fresh install and kept the old Windows that i was using on the old Board.
