Windows 10: Rejoin the domain

Hello all,I am a technician wah. My issue is I have a remote laptop that has fallen off the network. Am I able to reconnect that machine using ps or cmd?

Windows 10 Upgrade unable to rejoin Domain

Hi,

I'm doing an AD upgrade of windows 8.1 Pro to Windows 10 Pro, I removed the PC from the domain , deleted the AD computer object and ran the windows 10 app, then when trying to rejoin the Win 10 PC back to
the Domain I'm getting the following error:

The join operation was not successful this could be because an existing computer account having name "$$$$$$$$" was previously created using a different set of Credentials.....

Access is denied.

"event Id: The machine @#@@### attempted to join the domain #$#%#$#% but failed. The error code was 1332."

"The machine @#@@### attempted to join the domain but failed. The error code was 5."

Tried multiple domain accounts to rejoin the domain and got the same error, renamed PC and still the same error.

I have used the same domain accounts to add Window 7 PC to domain without a problem.

Help?

Thanks for the suggestion! I don't want to add a domain account, as this is a generic unattended install that will be used for all company machines. Do you think it's possible that the computer would join the domain if, instead of using UnattendedJoin in specialize, I used your steps but left out the specific account?

The other thing I was thinking was to use a generic account to allow the domain join during the specialize step. I added a machine password in the UnattendedJoin component, and instead of getting the error listed above, I got an authentication error, which makes me think I could probably do a secure join instead of the unsecure join.

Thoughts?

 

denied access to rejoin domain

I am having administrator permissions issues and in an attempt to resolve this issue I logged out of my active directory domain. Now logged in as the local machine administrator, I try to access the "My PC" >> "Properties" >> "Change settings" to rejoin the domain and I get a "User Account Control" that will only allow a "NO" answer ("YES" might be there but does not appear to be visual. Trying to 'click' the 'yes' area, it does nothing.) "NO" is the only option.

This is a Windows (1809) 10PRO OS Build 17763.557 (up to date as of a few minutes ago.)

As the local administrator, how do I override this UAC issue?
