Windows 10: Released version

So when this "10" is released will it be as straight forward as putting in a legal s/n or will it have to be wiped and reinstalled.

I guess that it's because it would make more sense to devote energy to implement a new version than to spend people/time to allow the downgrade.

I installed this update software. Sip and fring used to work fine for me before. Not any more. I never got to handle a full conversation any more: it disconnect, I cannot hear the person I call, or they cannot hear me. It's a mess. I thought that updates
were supposed to be better than the previous version. It makes me rethink the whole reason why I bought the E71 in the first place: being able to call people abroad from any internet friendly cafes. There is even a another bug, although this one is not really
bothering me much. When I choose Breathing light off in gerenal profile/ personalize, I used to get a cool dark grey bar with the current time. Every minute, the bar would move and update the time. Now the bar is frozen to the time where the phone locked itself
and is not updated! If they don't fix the Sip and Fring bug, I'll switch to iPhone.

 

Any discussion on topics like this will only be speculation at this point....

 

If past experience is anything to go by offically you will be required to reload but there will be some dirty workarounds to allow an in place upgrade to the final release version.

 

A clean install of the release version of an OS has always been preferred, and often officially required. Unless Microsoft specifically says otherwise this should be assumed.

 

Always do a clean Install of the final release.

 

There probably will be a GM seed delta update and RTM is part of the golden master so...
probably taking a leaf out of apple's book in the update department.

But then again, they won't make money giving it away for free to all technical previewers.
