Reliable GBit NIC with Jumbo frame support Windows 10

I just had a wasted afternoon trying to install a TP-Link TG-3468 (Realtek 8168E) NIC on my W10 x64 system on a Dell Precision 690. Basically the whole thing either froze of bombed out with a WHEA Uncorrectable Error BSOD (even when trying to boot in Safe mode) during boot, so no opportunity to load any drivers that actually worked (if there even are any) *Sad. I had two of these cards, both behaved the same.

So can anyone suggest a reasonably priced PCI-e Gigabit NIC that'll actually work on W10 x64 and that has Jumbo Frame support (MTU 7000 at least).

(hoping that this isn't a problem with the PCI-e support in the Dell Precision 690).

    Thanks, Dave

    :)

  2. Windows 10 Map Network Drive, Not Accepting Credentials, Access Denied.

Just had a blinding flash of inspiration.

My problem was caused by Windows 10 having Jumbo Frames enabled on the NIC. Turned it off and it started working.

  3. Problem with Link Aggregation with Windows 10 Pro x64, Intel I350T4 Server Adapter

I clean installed W10Prox64 and installed the latest Windows 10 x64 driver for the Intel I350-T4 Server Adapter and successfully created the team (bond0/team0) but when I attempted to change the MTU to jumbo frame 9014(?) bit I get a BSOD with code "BAD_POOL_CALLER".
I've attempted to clean install the NIC drivers again but 3x in a row I get the same error. This worked just fine and dandy in Windows 7, 8.0, and 8.1 Pro. Any advice on how to resolve this would be immensely appreciated.

Reliable GBit NIC with Jumbo frame support Windows 10

Why do you need that MTU as most routers use 1500
