    Hello!


    I was trying to download the PDF of a book one night and as soon as I clicked download from a website the Microsoft Security detection picked it up and warned me a possible Trojan virus on the site. I didn't know how to navigate the warning and pressed "allow" thinking I was allowing Microsoft to remove the virus; however when I clicked "allowed threats" I noticed the Trojan was listed so I immediately unallowed the virus. I also re-started/re-booted my computer in Safe Mode right after. It has been 6 days and I still get this message see image below. I ran several scans with Microsoft and they all came back fine, I also downloaded a malware antivirus program that did not detect the Trojan on my computer during its scan. Likewise, I cannot find the download on my computer under any files. I was wondering if the issue has been resolved and it is safe to use my computer.

    What is the recommended steps to delete Trojan Win32/Gatrid.E!cl?

    Original title: Trojan Win32/Gatrid.E!cl

    Just isolated this malware. If I delete, is that all that is necessary? Has it infected other files. How does it gain access. What is the recommended steps that should be taken now. This specific Trojan did not show up when I entered a community search.

    Windows Security Protection History-remediation incomplete

    Windows 10 security found two trojans that are now listed in my protection history as severe-remediation incomplete. And yet my virus and threat protection shield icon has a green checkmark. What if anything should I do? Why does it say remediation incomplete?

    A manual scan by Malwarebytes identifies zero threats.
