  1. Remote Access from Hackers

Hello Tech Savvys,Remote Access to one's system is a potential threat, so I thought of restricting all sorts of remote access to my system via unchecking " Allow Remote Access Connections " under control panel >remote access settings. However to ensure whether disabling the feature made any good I tried accessing my system via zoom remote access, guess what I was 100% able to remotely access my system. can someone give me a way to restrict remote access to my system via any mode/source/system app/third party app? Thanks in Advance.

    :)

    Remote Access

    1. Follow these steps to disallow remote access to your PC completely:
    2. 1. Type “remote settings” into the Cortana search box. Select “Allow remote access to your computer”. This may seem counter-intuitive, but this opens the Control panel
      dialog for Remote System Properties.
    3. 2. Check “Don't Allow Remote Connections” to this Computer. You've now disabled remote access to your computer.

Try these two steps and tell us if your issue gets solved. If it does not then your PC may be infected. Use a Good antivirus to remove the infection from your device completely.

Hackers remotely turning on our computer

Hi clarisia2 and welcome to Tenforums.
Your router may have WOL setup, so check that out.
If you have Teamviewer installed, uninstall it for now.
    Uncheck "Allow Remote Assistance" here:

Unplug/disconnect the system from the internet before shutting down.

See if that doesn't stop it from coming on during the night.

What are these "hackers" doing with the system anyway? Can you tell?
