Windows 10: Remote Desktop App stuck on startup

I have been using the Remote Desktop App from Microsoft Store now for some time https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/microsoft-remote-desktop/9wzdncrfj3ps?activetab=pivot:overviewtab. Since some time back, it wont start but freezes on startup, just showing the orange background and the "spinning circle" indefinitely I have tried letting it run overnight to see if that could solve it, but no. How can I solve this? Uninstalling and reinstalling the app won't work. The problem is only on a particular computer, I have it running fine on other computers/Android tablets etc.

1. Are you using the Microsoft remote desktop app?
   

If you are using the Microsoft remote desktop app downloaded from
Microsoft store then, I suggest you to follow the steps to
fix problems with apps from Microsoft Store.



If the issue still persists with the Microsoft remote desktop app, then you can contact the support team by going to the

link and scrolling down to the bottom and clicking on
Microsoft remote desktop support under the Publisher info.



However, if you are using the Remote desktop connection, which comes pre-installed with Windows 10, then I suggest you to please post your question in the
TechNet forum.

• What steps have you taken so fa?
• Did you receive any error message?
• Have you tried to uninstall and install Remote Desktop app?

 

Remote app for android

I recently traded in my iphone for an android, and just realized that hippo remote is iphone only. I'm looking for a similar app for android so I can use it as a remote for my htpc. Any suggestions?
