Windows 10: Remote Desktop Connection Error 0x104 Outside the House -- New Twist on an Old Question

This question has been asked before with unsatisfactory results. Perhaps the answer is so obvious to techies, and so strange to average users, that there is a disconnect. As an in-betweener, I hope to explain it well enough to get a usable answer. Last week, I retired. This week, I put together a desktop PC from parts, loading a newly purchased Windows 11 Pro DVD. I plan to use Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection to access my home PC from a laptop anywhere my wife and I might be, just as I used to with my work office PC. Remote desktop error 0x104

I have successfully connected my Android tablet to my desktop PC running Windows 10 using the remote desktop app. However it only seems to work when the tablet is physically next to the desktop, using the office Wi-Fi. When I take the tablet home and try
to access the office PC remotely I get a dialogue box saying that it cannot be found and error 0x104.

Any advice?

Remote Desktop Workspaces Error Code 0x104

Hello All,

I have the following setup:

Windows 2012R2 - Domain Controller

Installed Remote Services

On a client PC/Mac, I have installed Microsoft Remote Desktop. I can successfully log onto the server using RDP but when using Workspaces, I can connect to it successfully, I see the apps that are assigned to me but when I click on any of the apps to connect,
I face the following error message:

We couldn't connect to the remote PC because the PC can't be found. Please provide the fully-qualified name or the IP address of the remote PC, and then try again.

Error code: 0x104

Have any of you guys experience this issue?
