  1. Remote Desktop Minimizing from mouse gesture

Hello,I'm having a weird problem lately. It's hard to Google for an issue like this, because I get a bunch of unrelated topics about RDP and mouse issues. I have a Dell Latitude 5410 running Windows 11 that I use to Remote Desktop via Citrix Workspace into another Dell laptop I forget the model running Windows 10. Although the RPD is via Citrix, it still launches as a separate application, not embedded in the desktop. I run the session full screen and with the RDP bar not pinned, so it hides after a few seconds. I've been doing this for years with no issues.Lately when I am in the remote s

  2. Remote desktop connection problem

    Hello, Mara,

I appreciate your help. But it was not working.

I am using the windows 10 professional version, which has preinstalled remote desktop connection.

But the same problem persists. So kindly suggest some other methods.

For more clarity, I am stating my problem another time. The steps I follow are as follows.

Aim: I want to access PC1 using PC2 remotely.

    1. I noted down the IP address of my PC1.
    2. Now, I open the remote desktop connection app in PC2.
    3. Entered the IP address, User name, and password.
    4. After that, PC1 gets locked, and in PC2, a page comes which has the following information. (Normally, it should show the sign-in prompt to access the PC1 exactly as in PC1 )
      • At the top, a bar came which can be used for minimization, cancel, etc.
      • At the left bottom, the power button shows. I can sleep, shut down, disconnect, or sign out by using that.
      • In the middle, a mouse pointer shows.
      • Other than that no sign-in prompt. By clicking the mouse, no response. Also, clicking enter does not help.
      • It's like the "connected locked PC1 ". It means it is connected but can't be used.

Please help me with the below details to understand your issue in a better way:

    1. Are you using the Microsoft remote desktop app?

If you are using the Microsoft remote desktop app downloaded from
Microsoft store then, I suggest you to follow the steps to
fix problems with apps from Microsoft Store
    .

If the issue still persists with the Microsoft remote desktop app, then you can contact the support team by going to the

However, if you are using the Remote desktop connection, which comes pre-installed with Windows 10, then I suggest you to please post your question in the

Microsoft Remote Desktop Mac Mouse porblems

    Hi Marco,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that you are using Remote Desktop application on Mac OS and want to simulate the PC mouse right click on your Mac Mouse.

In order to make use of the right-click inside an open session you have options of using:

    • Standard PC two button USB mouse
    • Apple Magic Mouse: To enable right-click, click
System Preferences in the dock, click Mouse, and then enable
      Secondary click.

For additional information you can also refer the following links:

    clients

Meanwhile, if you have any queries regarding Remote Desktop Services, you can also post your query in

    TechNet forums
, which would be the appropriate forum for RDP issues, where you will find professionals with expertise on Remote Desktop.
