Windows 10: Remote Desktop not working with BGW320-500 Residential Gateway

Does anyone know if microsoft has a patch or update to fix this issue? It seems the Gateway/router is designed to switch between 2.4ghz and 5 ghz depending on the device that connects. Remote Desktop requires a split feed. I spent a great deal of time with AT&T Tech support before we figured out the problem. He changed the Gateway settings so it now works but it causes collateral damage to my home devices as some don't recognize all of the wireless networks Roku for example.


The BGW320-500 is the Gateway AT&T is deploying for residential fiber customers and with many working from home, like me, this is bound to become a bigger problem. I am not in IT but any help would be appreciated.

Remote Desktop Gateway Connection issue

Hi,

I have an issue with a new Gateway i created (setup below), i first got an error "The Computer cant verify the identity of the RD Gateway" and i confirmed the root certificate was in trusted as well as personal store. After a reboot i got
the message "Your computer cant connect to the Remote Desktop Gateway". I checked the services were running for Remote Desktop.

Server 2016 (RDG.domain.com)

Applied Global Cert

Remote Desktop Gateway/Licensing server

port: 3390

P.S. I have followed other MS solutions (ie adding reg keys to Windows 10) and applying root cert, regarding both and they didnt work.

Also, apologies if this issue is raised in the wrong section.

Please help me with the below details to understand your issue in a better way:

1. Are you using the Microsoft remote desktop app?
   

If you are using the Microsoft remote desktop app downloaded from
Microsoft store then, I suggest you to follow the steps to
fix problems with apps from Microsoft Store.



If the issue still persists with the Microsoft remote desktop app, then you can contact the support team by going to the

link and scrolling down to the bottom and clicking on
Microsoft remote desktop support under the Publisher info.



However, if you are using the Remote desktop connection, which comes pre-installed with Windows 10, then I suggest you to please post your question in the
TechNet forum.

Remote Desktop

Okay guys need some help here before going crazy...
I am trying to setup a remote desktop connection and see exactly what the logged on user is looking at with out going through Windows Remote Desktop.

Since its local network I don't have any password or want to setup a password.

Any suggestions are appreciated
