  1. Remote Desktop RDP: with no MS password only 2FA, client RDP: "The User Account Did Not Work"

Yesterday I followed MS's procedure to remove a login password in favor of 2FA MS Authenticator on my phone. I also spent $99 to upgrade Windows 11 Home to Pro, only because I want to use RDP to access my Windows system from my Mac. So far, after hours of changing this and that pursuant to internet searches, I am still unable to do that. Microsoft Remote Desktop on the Mac reports "The User Account Did Not Work" no matter what I try. Some answers to similar questions say to log in on the host Win11 system using a password once. But my login options in System::Accounts::Sign in options DO NOT

    :)

Is there a better RDP remote desktop password manager ?

Is there a better RDP remote desktop password manager ?

The problem is i need to use many remote desktops, some have different users on the same system, and there the problem start.

For some reason the default RDP from windows 10 is not remembering passwords for all users if it's the same host.

So you keep switchig to manual login need to find the password etc. Tried to make *.rdp files. But that is failing too.

I need a remote desktop client or solution that can remember multip[ly user/passwords for the same server/hostname. Any idea's ?

  3. RDP not allowing remote connection

I had it working perfectly fine the other day but I logged into my server, removed a open port and both computer quit.

I run the computers with the firewall off, I see no point in them being on, it's a windows firewall a hacker will know how to get around so fire wall is OFF.

Ports are 9000 for server and 3390 for htpc

    ip:9000
    ip:3390

This does not work from a linux workstation using 'Remote Desktop Client'

It does not work from mac RDP
It does not work from windows RDP
And it does not work from my iphone.

I know it's enabled as I can RDP into the computers at my home (except htpc at the moment, I think that one needs restarted)

Ports are open, both tcp / udp ports are open using the internal server IP wich is MAC assigned by the router. Server - 10.0.1.2 - 9000
And same thing for the htpc - 10.0.1.8 - 3390

Besides the obvious of firewall, ports, and 'remote connection enabled' any ideas?

    remote desktop RDP

Hi, I've spent a whole day trying to be able to connect to a windows 10 home pc. I ticked the box in my computer properties remote tab that says allow remote connections to be made. There are no other options for me on this tab. I then discovered Windows 10 home does not allow remote desktop which was annoying. So after lots of research I discovered RDP wrapper. Installed it, run rdpcheck which doesn't accept my login. Everything is running in RDP wrapper configuration.. all green, listening, fully supported etc. I type remote desktop connection on the search bar and that program shows up. But I still can't access this windows home pc remotely. I've disabled, antivirus, windows local and external firewalls, everything I can think off that could be blocking it. Remote desktop client on my phone and other pc still fails to see this win home pc though. Any suggestions? Thanks in adv
