Remote Desktop Session Closes When I try to do something on the host machine

Ok, this is a hard one to explain, but here we go.

I've updated 2 machines to Windows 10 ver1809. One has Pro, the other Home Premium. Pro has Remote Desktop set and I try to link into with the Premium Machine. The session starts and operates until I try to do something like open a File Explorer session or Change Folders in the explorer session and the session drops. I restart the session, try to launch a program (like Notepad ++) on the remote server, the program starts, I select File open and a file browser opens, but as soon as I start to maneuver in the browser the session drops.

This was working fine before the upgrade to 1809...

So, is this another pooched process in the new upgrade or is there a new setting that I'm missing?

    :)

    [Help] Remote Desktop Connection

Please, how much more automatically you think it could be made?

If you followed my suggestion in my last post you have a shortcut on your remote host desktop to run the tscon command by double clicking it. Instead of closing the remote session from your remote client with one mouse click and leaving the remote host showing the Welcome screen, you'd need to use a double click instead on remote host to automatically close the remote session and sign the current user back in on remote host. A double click instead of a single click.

Short of the remote desktop connection telepathically monitoring your thoughts and closing the session and signing the current user in on the remote host as soon as you think of it, it can't be more automatic. Sadly the telepathy and computers work not well together.

Is that possible to use host keyboard for input on a remote desktop session on android?

    hi everyone!

I have a computer running Windows 10 Professional with a USB keyboard, and I'm using an Android tablet with Microsoft Remote Desktop app to remote it.

What I want to achive is using the host keyboard for input in the remote session, cause the table is too old to support USB Keyboard or Bluetooth Keyboard.

Besides the USB keyboard, I have a bluetooth keyboard conneted to the host computer, but both keyboards can't used for input on remote session. Is there anyway to achive That?

    Thank you all.

Remote Desktop - Screen resolution in remote session

I have connected to a remote desktop session and the windows in the remote session are all too small for me to see.

I have edited the remote desktop connection settings and cannot seem to make anything larger.

I am using a new Dell Inspiron Laptop which has a very high screen resolution 3840 x 2160

    Any suggestions appreciated

    Thank you
