Windows 10: Remote Sim mode?

Whenever I turn on my Bluetooth on my smartphone and my pc's Bluetooth is also on, my phone automatically connects to my pc and asks me if I want to give sim access to my pc. What's this used for and is there any software required for using it?

Charging in Remote SIM mode

Hi, Just got an N79 and have it set up to operate with RemoteSIM profile to connect to my car system. This switches the phone to power saving mode as expected when connected, but if I then plug in the charger from the +12V car socket the phone goes nuts
and keeps trying to switch in and out of power saving mode. It appears it can't charge the battery while in power saving mode.



As the battery life is pretty poor (with everything off except for basic GSM and Bluetooth) I still need to charge it while out in the car for a day or it gives up.



Is this the intended behaviour (can't charge in remote SIM mode) does anyone know please? If so, any ideas to work aorund it? I prefer to use the remote SIM mode so as to use the car aerial etc.

I use Nokia X6

The path you suggested only gives options for bluetooth but there is no way i can browse my old mobile

In the settings, you can enable/disable remote sim mode that will allow other mobile to browse nokia x6 but not viceversa

What does Remote Sim Mode mean on the Nokia 5800 under Bluetooth settings? I checked the help section but I still don't understand
