Windows 10: Remote workers Change password - VPN cert no longer usable in Windows 11

We have instructions for Remote works to change their password get on VPN then do a CTL-ALT-DEL / Change Password.. it was painful in WIN10 - TEAMS and OUTLOOK would need the password entered once more for those apps to function BUT all else would continue to function fine... I have 15 early adopters on WIN11 same issues but on the Next Day they try to connect to the VPN, the Certificates are no longer valid. Again - for WIN10 users, not an issue.. I have them come in, log into the network, delete the current VPN Cert, then bring it back down with Manage User Certificates. They are back

VPN Password Change.

Hi,

There are different ways on how to update/change your VPN credentials. First, by changing it manually using your
VPN server name. Follow these steps to update/change your
VPN credentials.

• Select your VPN connection, then click on Advanced options.
  
  
• Once done, simply click on Edit.

Second, you can coordinate with the Client server of your VPN. They can guide you on how to change your VPN credentials.

Global administrator password not working for remote VPN users

Hi MS team,

Our company has remote users who never come to office as they are field users. They connect our company resources via Cisco VPN and access all resources on VPN connection.

I am IT Admin and recently we changed global admin password centrally and that password was tested working on all domain computers. But strangely we found on some remote users computers these global admin password are not working while running some applications
as admin (For e.g Open CMD as Admin-> Enter global admin username and password-> Does not accept)

We changed the password in September and we tried even previous global admin password and they are not working.

Our password policy are only applicable for Windows 7 computers , For W10 we have different policy.

Not sure if it is GPO issue but was wondering what is wrong here... Any suggestions?
