    Remove bitlocker from my new computer because the old one is broken


    Hi,My old laptop is broken so i moved the bitlocker drives to a new computer. I have the digits for both of the drives but the problem is that I can’t update windows when rebooting because the bitlocker stops me from doing so. Is there any way that i can turn it off from the new computer?

    Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately these suggestions don't really fit our needs. We want to use BitLocker and don't want to disable it. The problem we have is that it locks some of our computers from time to time. Ideally we will make use of BitLocker but not have it blocking our computers.

    I have tried:

    1. Turning off BitLocker
    2. Installing all Driver and Windows Updates
    3. Turning BitLocker back on again
    Maybe this will help. We will wait and see.

    How to remove bitlocker from system?

    Hi Patrik,

    BitLocker is a full disk encryption feature present on Windows.

    It seems that the troubleshooting steps that you've tried are for Windows 7. We suggest checking this
    thread and follow the steps given by
    Johann Eva to remove BitLocker encryption.
