  1. Remove "Compress OS Drive" and "Downloaded files" from Disk Cleanup

Is this the right place for suggestions? Recently, Microsoft added two really not-well-thought-out features to Disk Cleanup which is Compress OS Drive and Downloaded files. I shouldn't have to explain why these are both bad ideas. Compress OS drive saves little space and causes massive performance issues and program instability and deleting files in the user profile folder is just a no-no. Please remove these.

    :)

  2. "Compress your OS drive" under Disk Cleanup

I have the same question about this but here is the different spin on this:

about 3 days ago when doing disk cleanup I noticed a large amount in the 'Compress your OS Drive' on my C drive - 53.6GB

I though it was strange but I ignored it and besides the disk cleanup app next checked the box. So yesterday, I decided to check it a attempt to clean this up. After 30 minutes the disk cleanup icon went away and I went back into Disk cleanup again and there
was a smaller amount in the Compress your OS drive - 52.7GB Then all of a sudden my Microsoft 365 started showing that new files were be 'uploaded', which was strange because I had already placed them in Microsoft 365 months ago using another PC (Windows 7)
but this was showing up in my Microsoft surface laptop (Windows 10).

The unusually thing that has shown up is that I took all my files in my Windows 7 PC and loaded them up into the Microsoft 365 cloud. But now I am seeing a mirror of my 365 cloud on my Windows 10 laptop. Picture, music and documents all showing up on my
C drive on my laptop and I NEVER copied anything from my Window 7 PC to my Windows 10 laptop. I only placed files from my Windows 7 PC onto the 365 cloud.

I do not want documents, picture or music on my laptop, I only want to access them on my 365 Cloud. The strange thing is I decided to delete 3 pictures on my laptop. I had the pictures folder open on my Laptop and the pictures folder open on my OneDrive
and when I deleted the pictures on my laptop they were deleted also on my OneDrive.

Can anyone please explain what is happening?????

"Compress your OS drive" under Disk Cleanup

Hello, while I was conducting a disk cleanup I noticed a large amount of 10 GB under "Compress your OS Drive." After it was finished the 10 GB was still there. I have tried it several times and it just doesn't clean up. Any thoughts?
