  1. Remove Corrupt PWA Entry from Windows 11 Update

In the latest version of Windows 11, I have the same issue like the user that posted Remove Corrupt PWA Entry from Windows 11 post on answers.microsoft.com but unfortunatelly the method provided there didn't worked for me.It seems that Microsoft updated it's paths and probably migrated some configurations to be more machine-generated and hard-coded in some cached files saved somewhere in the current profile directories since when I make a new profile, that problem doesn't exist - only in this profile existCan this bug be fixed without migrating to new account - somehow to force start menu to r

  2. PWA problem left a corrupt entry on Start Menu > All Apps list

    Hi!

Something broke the PWA link for my MS Planner install (Microsoft Planner) and now I'm left with a "ghost" link on the Start Menu > All Apps list.

I've already tried everything I could do, uninstall, PowerShell shenanigans, registry meddling and third party softwares... nothing did the trick.

I've managed to find a thread from 2021 (already closed) and tried everything suggested by the "certified" answer but to no avail: Removing Corrupt PWA entry from Windows 11 - Microsoft Community

Woudl somebody happen do know how to rebuild the list or somewhere else I can try to remove this ghost link?

  3. PWA problem left a corrupt entry on Start Menu > All Apps list

    Hi

    Welcome to Microsoft community.

Dealing with lingering and stubborn entries in the Start Menu or All Apps list can be quite frustrating. If you've tried various methods including uninstalling, using PowerShell, and editing the registry without success, there are a few additional steps you could attempt:

    1. Clear Icon Cache: Sometimes, the issue might be related to cached icons. You can try clearing the icon cache to see if it resolves the ghost link issue. To do this:
      • Open File Explorer and navigate to the following folder: C:\Users\<YourUsername>\AppData\Local
      • Look for a folder named IconCache and delete it.
      • Restart your computer.
    2. Third-party software: You mentioned third-party software, but some third-party software has been known to help clean up leftover and corrupt entries from various parts of the system. Make sure you are using a reputable and up-to-date version of such software.
    3. Windows Troubleshooter: Windows often provides built-in troubleshooters that can help resolve certain issues. You can try running the "Windows Store Apps" troubleshooter:
      • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
      • Under "Find and fix other problems," select "Windows Store Apps" and run the troubleshooter.
    4. System Restore: If the issue occurred relatively recently, you could consider using System Restore to revert your system back to a point where the ghost link wasn't present. This, however, will also revert other system changes you've made after that point.
You can also enter the safe mode to perform the above steps. Sometimes safe mode can help you clean up more completely.

Please feel free to let me know if you have any further updates, thanks.

    Best regards

  4. Remove Corrupt PWA Entry from Windows 11 Update

Add Remove Programs in Windows XP doesn't finish loading program list?!

Looks to me that you POSSIBLY have registry corruption in this section of the registry:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall

*Frown Remove Corrupt PWA Entry from Windows 11 Update :(

    * That's where the "Add/Remove Programs" lists are coming from...

    APK

P.S.=> Taking a peek in there @ some of the entries MAY lend you a hand here (or not), but do take a squint @ that section, as you may find out what exactly is causing your inability for that list to populate for you, properly, quite possibly... Good luck! apk
