Windows 10: Remove input option from Chinese pinyin input

    Remove input option from Chinese pinyin input


    Here is an example of Chinese pinyin input. However, I would like to remove some of the options from appearing in this list - in this case the encircled 10 option 5 and X option 6 as they are useless they appear because "ten" is pronounced "shi" in Chinese, yet paradoxically appear before the actual Chinese character for "ten" in this list. This means I must scroll to the next page to use a common character. How can I remove specific characters from the candidate list?

    Hi sanlvye,

    Yes, you may use Microsoft Pinyin (keyboard) for both Simplified and Traditional Chinese input. Here's
    how you can switch between Simplified and Traditional Chinese input when using Microsoft Pinyin (keyboard):

    1. Go to Settings > Time & Language >
      Region & language      .
    2. Under Languages, select Chinese (Simplified). If you have not installed it yet, click on
      Add a language and search for Chinese (Simplified).
    3. Click Options and choose Microsoft Pinyin under
      Keyboards.
    4. Click Options > Keys > Hot keys.
    5. Under the Simplified/Traditional Chinese input switch option, turn it
      On.

    There are many more similar suggestions, which come (as of today) to a combined value of 868 votes. Is there any possibility to have the redundant suggestions combined into one?
