Windows 10: Remove old billing addresses in MSA

Good day!I would like to remove some old billing addresses in my Microsoft account, but I I see that they are somehow locked in the account, the only options I get are to Set as preferred billing / shipping address, or both.Is this an error from Microsoft, or is this a new policy or something like that? Or do you know a different way to remove these old address?I would highly appreciate your answers.Thank you in advance!

Here is the step to remove that old email address.

Start typing an email address into the “To” field. As soon as you see the old email address being recommended as one of the potential candidates, use the down arrow key to scroll through the list of suggestions. Once you highlight the old email address, type the delete key. In many cases, this will actually remove the entry not only from the current list of suggestions but from future suggestions as well. You may even find that as you mouse over the drop-down list the highlighted item will have an “x” to explicitly allow you to delete it.

Just do this step and your good to go.

unfortunately, it didnt help.

i tried removing the paying method in payment option and re-adding it, but the issue was really with my address book. when i went back to the address list, the billing address still reverted back to the old address... and i still dont have the option of
deleting it (though i have no subscriptions, btw)

any other options?

I tried to change my payment and billing address in my microsoft account after moving to a different country.

But the option for editing was unavailable, instead a message appears saying:

"since this address is being used by your purchases and subscriptions, it cant be changed. add a new address and set it as your default to change this one"

ok, so i did as advised, and added my new address and set it as my default. But i still can't delete the old one! and worse, every time i re-enter my microsoft account, the billing and payement default address revert back to the old one, and now every time
i try to make a purchase, the CrossRegion error message pops up, so i'm blocked from making any purchases!
