Windows 10: remove old scanner

I got a new scanner. I want to remove the old one from pull-down menu when scanning.

Remove Old Printers from "Add a printer or scanner"

I suggest you to follow the below steps to remove unwanted Printers and check if it resolves the issue. Here's how:

1. Right click on Start and select Control Panel
> Devices and Printers.

2. Under Printers, select the unwanted Printer and click on
Remove device.

3. Now go to Start menu and navigate to Settings >
Devices > Printers & scanners and check whether the printers

are listed under Add printers & scanners.

HP Scanner 2400 (old) Not Scanning

In case you can't get the HP driver to work you could at least try VueScan as has been suggested in a previous post. If anything it will verify if your scanner is still working. - Click Start and type "Scanner"

- Select "Printers & Scanners"

- Here you'll see a list of your printers and scanners.

- Click on the old scanner, then choose Remove Device.
