Windows 10: Remove or Disable a Specific Version of .Net

Hello, I have Windows 10. with a few versions of .Net installed on my computer, with the latest being 4.8. I specifically want to remove .Net 4.6 and I want to know how to do that, or it can even be done.

I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:

1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.

• Type in Control Panel on the Ask me anything bar.
• Under Programs, select Uninstall a program.
• On the next window, locate and select Turn Windows features on or off.
• On the pop-up window, tick the box of all the folders that are named as
  .NET Framework.
  

Once you're done with the steps, proceed with the installation and check if the issue persists.

To further isolate your concern, we suggest that you repair Turbo Tax using the hidden Administrator account on your computer. After repairing the program, uninstall then reinstall
.NET Faceframe 4.52. After performing these troubleshooting steps, check if the issue persist on hidden admin before checking it on your original User Profile.

To enable the hidden Administrator account, follow these steps:

• On Search type CMD to open Command Prompt. Right click on
  CMD then choose Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Yes.
  
• In the Command Prompt window, type net user administrator /active:yes then hit the Enter key.
• You should see a message that the command completed successfully. Log out, and you’ll now see the Administrator account as a choice.
  

Note: The hidden Administrator account has a lot more privileges than a regular administrator account. Privileges that can easily generate a conflict on your system. We only recommend enabling the built-in Administrator account for troubleshooting
purposes and you have to disable it once you are done.

To disable the hidden Administrator account, follow these steps:

• On Search type CMD to open Command Prompt. Right click on
  CMD then choose Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Yes.
  
• In the Command Prompt window, type net user administrator /active:no
  then hit the Enter key.
• The administrator account will now be disabled, and shouldn’t show up on the login screen anymore.
