Windows 10: REMOVE PIN AND PASSWORD REQUIREMENT PERMANENTLY

I purchased a new laptop and after setting it up with no option during the setup to decline a password and PIN I finally got to use it. Now Win 11 WILL NOT let me remove the password or pin requirements. I DO NOT want a password OR a pin to sign in. I simply wish to open my laptop while it sits on my desk and go right to work. I have tried each and every solution available online to remove them to no avail. In all this frustration I have forgotten the login password and can not get any further in settings than the requirement to enter your password to change settings. So, DO NOT Tell me I must

I suggest you to follow the below steps to remove the sign in pin/password options.

• In the search box type sign-in-option.
• Click on the sign-in-option.
• Then you can find password/pin/picture password.
• There you can remove the option and check.

Thank you Brink for your speedy response. As for your first suggestion you suggest I use the option one step 4 to; sign in user account automatically? to not sign in, automatically? In your second suggestion her LT is already set to "never".

I think I have solved the issue. Here is what I did (for others). Win key+R> type netplwiz>if your users must enter name and password box is un-checked (even though the password screen is showing upon start-up) then check it. Follow up by entering the password (required) to apply settings. select Apply, and OK. close window. shut down, then re start> inter password>go to Win key+R >enter netplwiz hit run or OK> un-check the box previously checked. provide password select apply and OK. This did it for me. There may be better/faster way, but this worked in my case.

 

How to remove pin permanently?

Windows 10 System -

We have a new laptop in our small office. I'm trying to remove the PIN required for accessing the system. I have followed the directions on how to remove/reset a pin (directions on the MS Windows 10 site)

1. Open the Settings, and click/tap on the Accounts icon. ...
   
2. Select Sign-in options, and click/tap on I forgot my PIN.
   
3. Click/tap on Continue.
   
4. Leave the PIN fields empty, and click/tap on Cancel.
   
5. Your PIN will now be removed.
   

I have done this multiple times, but the pin remains so that every time anyone wishes to use the system they must first type in the pin. Then even if the pin is correctly entered, the user is forced to go through the process of asking MS for a code in order to use the system. This happens each and every time anyone attempts to access the system and has gotten enormously frustrating.

In addition, despite having chosen Chrome as our web browser, when we click on the browser to connect, we are forced into Bing (possibly the worst, slowest and least accurate web browser ever). I have selected Chrome as the default and Firefox as the secondary.

If anyone can tell me how to (1) Remove the pin permanently and also avoid having to input a code each time we use the laptop, I'd very much appreciate your help. (2) Is there a way to permanently get the default browser instead of Bing? Note Please: I have already chosen Chrome as a default in the Default Apps page.
